Constituents and leaders across the country are calling for a rewrite of many of these documents, both on the local and national level, as a means to ensure our budgets more accurately reflect the needs of the people.

Together, we unpacked the bold and pragmatic policy and budgeting decisions being implemented across the country, and the role these decisions play in advancing opportunity for marginalized communities.

In the context of the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and ongoing racial injustice, Build it Back Better is an initiative to support innovative and influential leaders as they work to rebuild systems and solutions to be more equitable, inclusive and resilient.
